At DAn Travel, we believe every journey should have a purpose.
Miles That Matter is our monthly charity initiative, where we collaborate with a different local organisation to give back to the community we’re proud to serve.
Each month, we provide a complimentary trip to a selected charity, community interest company, or non-profit organisation, helping them share their stories, promote their causes, and spread positivity.
Whether we’re supporting a local group or giving a charity a voice, we’re dedicated to making every mile count for something meaningful.

and outings, providing a welcoming space where older adults can make friends, share experiences, and stay active both socially and physically. At its heart, the Y’s Group is about connection, companionship, and having fun with others who understand the joys and challenges of later life.

Torpoint Ramps Forum CIC

Torpoint Ramps Forum CIC is leading an ambitious community project to replace the town’s ageing and now unusable skatepark with a modern, inclusive facility for future generations. Working with CANVAS Skateparks and Public Spaces, the group plans to create a safe and welcoming space where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy skateboarding, scootering, BMX riding and roller sports. The new skatepark will encourage physical activity, support mental wellbeing, build confidence and friendships, and provide a positive outdoor space for the whole community.
The group is working to raise £400,000, with support already coming from Torpoint Town Council, the Mayor of Torpoint, local businesses, residents and fundraising events. As part of the Miles That Matter campaign, DAN Travel will provide free transport for local children and families to attend the UK Surf & Skate Expo in Newquay, giving them the chance to experience the opportunities and benefits that a modern skatepark can offer. Torpoint Ramps Forum hopes the project will not only benefit local families but also help make Torpoint a destination where people choose to stop, visit and enjoy.

Stories in Nature: Fotonow CIC, Odils Learning Foundation and Greenwood Music CIC

Stories in Nature is a partnership between Fotonow CIC, Odils Learning Foundation and Greenwood Music CIC that uses nature, creativity and storytelling to support people from refugee backgrounds across Plymouth and Cornwall. Through a 10-week programme, participants enjoy wellbeing walks, creative workshops, digital storytelling and one-to-one mentoring, helping to improve confidence, wellbeing and social connections while developing valuable life and employability skills.

The programme celebrates resilience, diversity and community by giving participants the opportunity to share their experiences through photography, film and creative media. Delivered within the peaceful surroundings of a 40-acre Cornish Atlantic rainforest, Stories in Nature creates a welcoming environment where people can build friendships, connect with nature and gain the confidence to tell their own stories, with the journey culminating in a series of public exhibitions that promote inclusion and community cohesion.

Beat4Autism

Beat4autism C.I.C is a community interest company based in Torpoint that provides support, advice, and signposting services to parents, carers, and professionals supporting autistic individuals, alongside providing support to complete complex forms such as referrals, DLA, and PIP, with or without a diagnosis.

We hold many autism and sensory-friendly events throughout the year, including our Big Picnic, Play4autism sessions, and our magical Christmas Grotto, and we facilitate interactive presentations to create better understanding and awareness.

As a SEN parent myself, it’s important that others don’t feel alone, isolated, or lost throughout their journey. That’s why Beat4autism C.I.C was created. It is very close to my heart. Our community is at the heart of what and why we do this.
